QUICK AND EASY CALZONES
- 13.8-oz refrigerated pizza crust
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 18 slices pepperoni
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Italian seasoning, to taste
- grated parmesan cheese, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray baking sheet with nonstick cookie spray (or use a baking mat).
- Roll out the pizza crust, and cut it into 6 equal-sized squares.
- In the middle of each square, place a portion of the pizza sauce, shredded cheese, and pepperoni.
- Fold the dough over into a triangle, and use a fork to press along the edges of the triangle to seal it closed.
- Place calzones onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top of each calzone with butter, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated parmesan cheese.
- Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
- 8-oz can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 ounces deli ham (16 slices) ( you can use carving ham leftovers)
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese (8 slices)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Separate dough into 8 equal pieces (they usually separate into triangles)
- Place 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese (folded in half) on the larger end of the triangle.
- Roll the crescent up with the ham and cheese inside, and place it tip side down on a baking sheet (I used a baking mat, but you could line it with aluminum foil for easy clean-up, too).
- Bake for 15 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
- Serve warm.
